A simple outdoor worship night called Consumed united divided churches across our city. God opened doors, provided people and resources, and ignited a hunger to make Jesus known. That year we married, recorded our first album, and took our first mission trip to Ukraine.

During a 21-day fast, we experienced God’s presence in a life-defining way and sensed a clear call: start a church centered on His Presence. We began gathering and exploring what that could look like.

With about 75 family and friends, a bold vision, and almost no resources, we launched publicly as Audaci Church. We experimented, moved locations, made mistakes, and kept following God’s lead.

We realized we had drifted from the original vision. Instead of quitting or merging, we returned to prayer, seeking clarity for what God actually called us to build.

We stripped everything down, leadership structures, Sunday flow, small groups, and rebuilt around two anchors: God’s Presence and discipleship. On our 7th birthday, Audaci Church became AVL City Church.

God continued clarifying the assignment: do everything with His presence. Our Vision, As You Go, God Through You, shapes Sundays, small groups, serving, and mission so the Gospel flows beyond church walls into homes, schools, workplaces, and relationships.
